IUD

An IUD (coil) is a plastic ‘T’-shaped contraceptive device (24 to 36 mm long) that is inserted into the womb. Two thin threads are attached to it and hang down from the womb. These threads are needed to remove the IUD. During sex you and your partner should not be able to feel the IUD.

Together with your GP you decide which IUD suits you best. The IUD will be inserted by your GP.
